Cascade Simulation Results Explorer

Explore the verified results from a Monte Carlo study of how graph structure, centrality-targeted activation, and threshold conditions shape network cascades. Each view is organized around one research question and keeps the comparison bounded.

Guided exploration

Five research questions

Select a page in the explorer, then adjust only the conditions relevant to that comparison.

  1. RQ1

    Graph family

Compare high–low centrality differences across Erdős–Rényi, Barabási–Albert, and Watts–Strogatz graphs.

  2. RQ2

    Density

Examine how sparse and denser graphs change final cascade extent and target separation.

  3. RQ3

    Centrality metric

Compare results across degree, strength, closeness, and betweenness centrality.

  4. RQ4

    Threshold regime

Trace how cascade behavior changes from more sensitive to more resilient thresholds.

  5. RQ5

    Total failure

Review how often cascades reach every vertex and, when they do, how many update layers they require.

Data and reproducibility files

The explorer displays archived summaries. The complete package contains the app, source outputs, tests, and verification records.

The archived 1,000-replication run was replayed under the recorded R and igraph versions, and its scientific outputs matched the originals. File hashes are available in SHA256SUMS.txt.
